साध संग में चांदना सगल अंधेरा ओर।
सहजो दुर्लभ पाइये, सत्संगत में ठौर।।
संसार में चारों तरफ अंधेरा ही अंधेरा है अर्थात् अज्ञानता में सभी डूबे हुए हैं कि संसारियों को करने लायक एक अदद काम परमात्मा का भजन सुमिरन याद नहीं है। यदि कहीं उजाला है तो वह संत महापुरूषों की संगति में है जहां इन्सान को अपने कर्तव्य का ज्ञान होता है कि वास्तविक कार्य तो नाम की कमाई है। संत सहजोबाई जी फरमाती हैं कि दुनिया में संत महापुरूषों की संगत बडे भाग्यों से नसीब होती है और बहुत दुर्लभ है। भाव यह है कि काल और माया ने सबके ज्ञान को ढक रखा है और जहां से यह ज्ञान और विचार मिलता है वह संतों की संगत बडी दुर्लभ है हर किसी का ख्याल इस तरफ नहीं है।

If there is light anywhere, it is in the company of saints, where a person has the knowledge of his duty that the real work is the earning of the name.
